 The St. Nicholas School Governing Body play a very active role in the work of the school: as well as holding termly meetings at which the Headteacher reports to the Governors so that they are fully informed of all aspects of the work of the school. The Governors have also formed a number of sub-Committees - which also report back to the main Governing body on a regular basis.

1. The Finance Sub-Committee - Which is responsible for the setting of the main School Budget and monitoring the expenditure of it throughout each financial year.
2. The Personnel Sub-Committee - Which is responsible for the recruitment of staff and for making recommendations to the Finance Sub-Committee regarding Staff matters.
3. The Curriculum Sub-Committee - Which is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all aspects of the school curriculum.
4. The Pastoral Care Committee - Which is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all aspects of Child Care practice used throughout the educational and boarding elements of the school.
